Sandro De Poli is Chairman of AVIO Aero, Italy (a GE business). His career starts in 1979 in the Healthcare domain at Siemens, from which he moved in 1982 to GE Medical Systems, growing into a European General Management role in 1988. In 1993 he’s appointed General Manager of the Italy, Israel, Turkey, Greece branches. In 2004 he led the Commercial integration of GE Medical Systems and Amersham Health at global level, which gave birth to GE Healthcare, a leading global medical technology and life sciences company. He was Chairman of the Italian branch of GE Healthcare until 2005, and Vice President of Commercial Operations of GE Healthcare Europe. In 2011 he becomes Chairman and CEO of General Electric Italy and Israel, in charge of all the Industrial activities of General Electric in Italy and Israel. In 2019 Sandro becomes Chairman of Avio, a global leader in the field of design, engineering and production of aircraft engines.
